Jack Goatke
The biggest Linsanity run for this year’s March Madness was that of Oakland’s own, Jack Gohlke. After his 32 point performance against Kentucky in round one of this years tournament, Gohlke went mega viral on social media because of his 10 3-pointers. The 3-point specialist has been doing this all year at Oakland. Last Thursday’s stat line pales in comparison to his stat line for the entire season. Gohlke only made four 2-point baskets all season and made 137 3-point baskets. Shooters shoot.

Although Oakland has now been eliminated, Jack Gohlke has cashed out on his NIL opportunities. He signed NIL deals with Buffalo Wild Wings, Turbo Tax, OOfos slides, and launched his own merch line. What makes these partnerships even better, is that he had his childhood friend manage them. Gohlke didn’t want to deal with the headache of deciding which deals to take, so he hired high school teammate, Grant Basile, to manage it for him. Jack was quoted saying, “I can't do this right now. We're trying to win another game.' I don't want to shift my focus from the most important basketball games of my life to this thing."

NIL is far from perfect, but when no name guys like Jack Gohlke can have a huge game in March Madness and cash out on some NIL money or some free wings, I’m all for it.
NFL Continues to Expand
In the past few years, we have seen a rapid expansion to other countries. We have seen games in London, Mexico City, and Munich in the last two seasons alone. For the 2024 season, we will see the first ever NFL game be played in Sao Paulo, Brazil when the Eagles play their week one match up.

The NFL announced on Monday that they are expanding their NFL Global Markets Program which allows NFL teams the marketing rights to build brand awareness beyond the United States. In total, 25 teams will participate in the program across 19 countries in 2024. This program was built in order to help grow the NFL and eventually bring NFL games to all parts of the world.
New Countries Added on Monday
Argentina: Miami Dolphins
Colombia: Miami Dolphins
Japan: Los Angeles Rams
Nigeria: Cleveland Browns
South Korea: Los Angeles Rams
Starting in the 2025 NFL season, there will be up 8 games per season played outside of the United States. There has even been rumors of the NFL adding divisions in other countries, and NFL commissioner, Roger Goodell, has confirmed those claims. He was quoted saying, "We're trying to sort of see, if could we have multiple locations in Europe where you could have an NFL franchise, because it would be easier as a division." The possibility of the expansion is rumored to be 4 teams, but the logistics of travel and players not wanting to move to Europe to play is stalling this expansion. With that being said, who knows what we will see over the next 10-15 years in the NFL.
Steph Currency

Steph Curry is the greatest shooter of all time, and yet I am just as impressed with what he has done in the business world. His career earnings on the court are nearing half a million, but his goal is to out earn his playing days once his career comes to an end. Steph has prioritized setting himself up for success post basketball by focusing on a diverse business portfolio with investments in companies that don’t revolve solely around sports and the NBA.
Some of Steph Curry’s business ventures
Tonal - An at home gym company
Underrated - A company he started that helps to find under recruited players in both basketball and golf
Curry Brand - Part of Under Armour, a brand that is specific to Steph Curry
Unanimous Media - Production company he founded
Gentleman’s Cut Bourbon - Whiskey company he started
His most lucrative partnership is with the Curry Brand and Under Armour. He recently signed a lifetime with Under Armour. According to Rolling Stone, after considering salary, stock options, and scheduled public appearances, this contract will be worth more than $1 billion. His production company is already wildly successful as it has produced the Oscar winning film. The film, The Queen of Basketball, which highlighted Lucy Harris, the scorer of the first basket in women's Olympic history, and was the first and only woman drafted into the NBA. While Tonal has struggled recently after its peak in late 2021, it still is backed by other superstar athletes like Lebron James, Paul George, and Bobby Wagner.

As you know, Steph Curry is extremely successful in business, and so is his wife Ayesha Curry. Most of Ayesha Curry’s business ventures have to do with food, and she has certainly taken a bite out of every sector of the food industry. Her wine company, Domaine Curry, was recently purchased by Constellation Brands, but she is still involved with the company even after selling it. She also has three cookbooks and hosts cooking shows on the Food Network. Between her and Steph Curry’s business ventures, the pair will be set up well for life after Steph stops playing basketball.
